there is safety in certainty. there is safety in sitting on your hands and watching life fly by.

when i ran across the busy road, my heart was in my mouth. i trembled and shook with nervousness. i very nearly said i was there for another reason, but then inside of me a still voice said, “say it. you’ll regret it if you don’t.” so out the words tumbled.

i am participating in the 100 strangers photography project. i want to tell better stories and to conquer the fear i have of telling people i am a photographer. i decided to begin by asking a stranger if i could take a photo of them and then do it 99 more times before my life is over. so here it goes.
